Beliefs "In essentials unity; in nonessentials, liberty; and in all things charity (or love)" Moravian Proverb  While City on A Hill Connection does not rally around a denomination, the network has been birthed from those involved in Southern Baptist life.  Therefore, some of our churches choose to associate with a local Baptist association and a Baptist state convention.  However, COAH Connection is itself not committed or affiliated solely with one denomination, but works and partners with churches across denominational lines, thus the decision to how each church will affiliate and identify itself is left up to each individual church. The network, however, does recognize the necessity of having a common statement of beliefs for participating churches within the network.  Therefore all network churches will affirm the foundational doctrines found in the Nicene Creed and practice believer's baptism. Core Values 1) A church should be birthed by the Holy Spirit and not predefined by traditions. 2) While churches may look different on the outside, they must remain doctrinally pure. 3) God is not only interested in converts, but in mature disciples. 4) Every individual is called to be involved in the disciple making process and therefore we will equip each other with the ability to do this. 5) Lives our transformed in the context of small groups. 6) Accountability is crucial in every Christian's life. 7) In essential beliefs, there must be unity, in non-essential beliefs we have liberty 8) Chrisitans should be involved in local as well as global outreach.
